The Bioengineers at BioEx Consulting use the science of biomechanics to evaluate a person’s claimed injuries and determine whether the injuries result from a specific incident or set of events. Biomechanics, by definition, is the science of how the human body responds to applied forces and specific mechanisms of force application. As scientists in this field, we evaluate injury mechanisms to determine if the forces applied exceed the strength and tissue tolerances of the involved person.
In conjunction with completing an Accident Reconstruction, the claimant’s kinematics of motion are evaluated. All interactions between the human body and outside structures are examined to determine the loads and forces acting on a person involved in an accident. An evaluation is performed to determine if the motions and forces experienced during a subject incident could be related to his or her claimed injuries.
Our experts have been called upon during litigation proceedings to provide biomechanical injury analysis and to testify regarding the causal relationship, or lack thereof, between a claimed injury and an accident.
